Post where abouts you are, someone might be along offering to trim your bush so to speak.

It's undr my username, but I wouldn't want some random off the internet knowing my address.

You really need a decent 'odd job' person...if you were local to me I would happily do those jobs for you, a trader wouldn't because it isn't economically viable.

Hit and miss I know, but try looking in your local paper or freebie local rag/ newsagents window for odd jobsters.

Whilst some may be full of !!!!! and con artists there may be a decent genuine 'odd job' person advertising.

Ask them to do you a quote and hopefully your instinct will weadle out the shisters.

    Good luck :)

I'll email the handymen listed in the Directory, but last time when I did that only one replied and it was such a ridiculous quote he obviously didn't want the job.

The council does have a listings website (the Leeds Directory), although I'm not sure if they vet the people who advertise on it. I'll look there as my first port of call.

Yeah, I know, but the Leeds Directory has been around for years and is recommended by the council and varous support services, so is a bit safer than a random person who sees a post here.
