Instead of taking the time to post here why didn't you just go straight round to the neighbour?

    Perhaps I find it cathartic?
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?
  • It's just a bit of plastic on the front of a 4 wheel box which in 10 years time will probably be recycled as a lemonade bottle or a cheap fleece. That's how I'd feel about it, and move on, there are better things to spend time and energy on.

OP, I think you're right to be annoyed, even if you don't do anything about it. My car has been reversed into recently by someone parking in our street and broken the chrome around the front grill - cosmetic damage really. I'll put up with it as it'll cost more to fix properly than I can afford to pay. I doubt I'd have pursued it if someone 'fessed up, as I'm not precious about how my car looks, but it's still annoying that they drive so badly they didn't notice, or did notice and didn't think to knock on the nearest door or leave a note.
