  • My life is now complete. Thanks wheels and C-M for bringing these to my attention.
Sadly, I suspect they are distance learning rather than classroom based. I would really have preferred to have sat in a room with my fellow "students".
Although a practising Solicitor, my posts here are NOT legal advice, but are personal opinion based on limited facts provided anonymously by forum users. I accept no liability for the accuracy of any such posts and users are advised that, if they wish to obtain formal legal advice specific to their case, they must seek instruct and pay a solicitor.

I used to be employed in the aerospace industry where we had an aircraft flight test centre.
On one occassion our chief test pilot, who had been flying the RAF Harrier version was required to fly the US Marine Corps version. It was quite different with a different mark of engine, extra controls, different radar, and different ejector seat amongst other things.

The expression used for learning to fly the USMC version was referred to as a "Marine Conversion."

When asked what a marine conversion consisted of, my boss said our test pilot was going to have his head shaved and his brain sucked out.

I wonder if the same course is used to train parking attendants and PoPLA assessors. :rotfl:
I married my cousin. I had to...

I think we ought to forge a plan to infiltrate POPLA

Well, their staff include former nail 'technicians', ex call centre staff and one who still writes pornographic novels in full detail, presumably informed by her own personal experiences.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
