Three - Early termination Fee. Why?
Comments
-
I have switched over from Three monthly SIM only plan to EE.
Just received my final bill and am much surprised (shocked rather) that Three want to charge me £10.38 Early Termination Fee...
How so? My contract with them was monthly rolling one.
Name of the plan: SIM 1GB Data 600 Minutes - 1 month.
There was no minimum 12 month contract clause but even if it was, I was on this plan longer than that.
I called them to get PAC from them, then used PAC same day, was transferred 2 days later and thought that's the end of it. Case closed. But it seems not so...
My account with Three is closed. Who should I contact now to have it solved as quickly as possible?
Obviously, cannot just cancel Direct Debit...
Anyone been in the same situation and can share his/her experience?
I recently went through a similar problem with three....
I notified them that i was leaving and asked for my PAC code, this in turn started my 30 day Notice Period. I then found a new contract with a new provider and 28 days into my Notice Period proceeded to start the switch using my PAC code (this can take unto 2 working days to complete)
I did this because three tell you that if your 30 day Elapses then you have to start the whole process all over again.
So my final bill came through and i noticed that they had added an "Notice Period Charge" to my bill, but then they had credited my account because i left 2 days before my bill date was due.
Anyway i complained to three about this ridiculous system and that they can't expect people to be able to transfer numbers on the 30 day because delays can happen. they apologised and even the guy agreed that the system was a bit silly. so he refunded my charge along with a previous months bill.
So i would suggest that you complain to three about this.
