PCN in England but from NI

Folks

I have read the NEWBIES post but just looking confirmation that my conclusion from the information is correct.

The parking incident was on a private car park in England, but the registered keeper is in NI - from my reading of the posts I can ignore the PCN and NTK.

Appreciate the help.

You have a number of choices, none of which carry any real risk (unless you're daft enough to identify the driver).

    1. Ignore it (and subsequent debt collector junk)
    2. Complain to the landowner and get them to kill it
    3. If the PPC is a BPA operator, appeal (as RK) to the parking company and then to POPLA, binds the PPC up in having to deal with it, and costs them money if they contest your POPLA appeal. If they are an IPC PPC, then options 1 and 2 only apply.

    Which PPC?

    Thanks for the reply

The NTK is from Vehicle Control Services Ltd which appears to be an IPC PPC.

Haven't replied in anyway yet and have no intention of naming the driver.

Was it a windscreen PCN or a postal one?

    Windscreen = ignore anyway and wait for the NTK;
Postal = they already know the keeper lives in NI so they'll never likely try a court claim so ignore anyway. :D

Was a window PCN and followed up with the NTK.

But looks like the advice is IGNORE both.

They need to know who the driver was ...... that's your secret and none of their business.

Do expect scammy begging letters until they give up

    JUST IGNORE

Last visit to the forum. Unlikely to see your request. Try to PM him/her, they will get an email telling them there's a PM in their 'In Box'.

  • Thank you for the replies (even the rude, unhelpful one). I've read all of the Newbie thread and dozens of posts and haven't seen anything similar to my own situation. I want hijacking the post, I didn't post any details of what happened to me and was wondering how It had worked out for the original poster. Thanks for the details on the the last visit, as a newbie, I wouldn't have known to look at that.
