Dacia automatics?
I have been looking at new Dacia cars.
I only drive automatics and it is difficult to see from their website which models come with this.
Reviews indicate that these cars are somewhat behind other makes but this may not bother me too much as I am 75 years old and only drive <5,000 miles a year almost all locally.
Just need to know which 2017 models come in automatic, please? Sandero is my obvious choice.

There are only three models in the range. It takes a few seconds to look at the configurator for each and see that the only automatic offered is the Duster - and that only with the 110dCi 4x2, in Laureate or Prestige spec - and that it adds £1,000 over the manual equivalents.

Well done Adrian. I'm sure our elderly O/P feels a lot better now you've belittled him.
I have to say, in the O/Ps defence, i had a look at the Dacia website for autos before lunch and didnt find it terribly intuitive.0 -

As per Adrians post, the only car in their range that currently comes with an auto is the Duster which may be too big for your requirements or out of budget.
Renault do an auto clio but again, even with discount its considerably over £13K.
One to consider would be the Toyota Aygo auto. The standard model with the auto box comes in at £11,485 but having had a quick look at broadspeed, theres maybe almost £1800 of discount to be had....

So your local dealer "should" be able to price match that or come close, giving you a brand new Toyota Aygo auto for under £10K
OR if you'd be happy with a nearly new 2017 car, you can get a higher spec'd car for less - heres a 2017 Expression model with just 5K miles for £7995

Another option might be the Hyundai i10. 5 year warranty, and available for just over £10K potentially...

Pre-reg cars start at £8999

Peugeot also do a 108 auto, coming in at a fraction over £9K after discount new....

If you're looking for something a bit bigger, Skoda to the Rapid, 2017 cars avail from £9750

And if an Aygo is too small, theres the Yaris

Thank you all for this fund of advice. I hadn't realised there were so many options around. I have to admit I am somewhat bemused nowadays by the number of models especially when a lot of them look so similar.
When I started driving 57 years ago I could wax lyrical about Austin A40s, Ford Cortinas and Hillman Minxes and they all looked different.
I'll have a look at all suggestions, many thanks.0 -
There's not quite so many as there first appears...
Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 108/Citroen C1 are all the same car, built in the same factory.
Same for VW Up!/Seat Mii/Skoda Citigo.
The Hyundai i10 and Kia Picanto are basically the same car mechanically and structurally, from companies in the same group.
Dacia are generation-old Renaults, while Nissan and Renault share most things - so a Micra and a Clio are closely related.0 -

Probably worth factoring in which franchises are closest to you too. We've a Toyota / Renault / Nissan / Dacia dealer and a Ford dealer just a couple of miles away, but our nearest Skoda dealer would be a 30 mile round trip.0
