NOW tv help and advice

I need some advice about Now TV hopefully some of you can help.

Here's the story. My girlfriend subscribed to Now TV a few months back and is asking me to help her figure it out, hence this post. Part of the reason been she seems to find it difficult finding content she's interested in.

She uses her iPad quite a lot to watch her films. I downloaded the JustWatch app and we tried streaming a film today via Chromecast and that seemed to work. The JustWatch seemed to let you see what's on all the streaming networks

However when we tried to stream a tv show, in this case Season 1 of Poirot, even though it seemed to suggest on the JustWatch app that it was part of her subscription, the actual site seem to be asking her to buy the entertainment pass. She entered via JustWatch.

What pass has she? I don't honestly know. Before posting this message I did some research and from what I can see you need a different pass for movies and tv (she's not interested in sport). If she can watch movies then maybe that's all she signed up to. Who knows! Am I right in assuming it is a separate payment for movies and tv?

A garbled message I appreciate but any advice re Now TV will be appreciated. Myself I have Netflix and am testing Amazon Prime

As always many thanks for your help

Kevin
ps What do you think of NOW tv anyway?

There are four different types of passes for Now TV subscriptions. All the info you require is on the Now TV website. And the passes she purchased will show on her account there also.
  • yes you need a seperate pass for movies and entertainment . The other thing to be aware of while you can stream of 4 devices , now tv count the chromecast as a device where as netflix it included

What sort of movies does she like. With Now you have the movies you can watch anytime (whilst they are on the site). Several of these are then shown daily across the live channels available on Now. There is a mixture of films. Sometimes these are better than others.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

I don't mind it. Can pay to watch football when I want. Can regularly get sports and movies on offer. Sounds like she just has movies though and needs to buy an entertainment pass for the other one

I've had it on and off for a few years. It's pretty good, and much cheaper than Sky for what you get. As others have said, get her to log in to her account - it will say what vouchers are active etc. She will probably get e-mails offering deals for the other packages anyway. I've had cheap sports pass offers, and I'm currently on a 4 month cheap movies deal (£5.99 a month). She should try cancelling the movie pass, they usually ask you if you really really want to cancel and offer you a reduced price if you stay.
