Bizarre Talk Talk cancellation email

We signed up to a Talk Talk deal around three weeks ago, and were looking forward to the changeover taking place this Tusday coming - 21st March. I have had a letter from Sky (early last week) saying that they are sorry we are leaving them.

Today, I have received a bizarre email from Talk Talk, saying that they are confirming that I have cancelled the order!!!!!!!!!
They also go on to say that the changeover will not take place.

My question would be is this a fake email or have Talk Talk messed up in a really bad way, because it looks as though I could be left without a provider in a few days time.

If there is a Talk Talk rep who visits this board, then I would really welcome some advice and feedback on this.

I would phone sky and ask them what will happen. I would have thought they would continue to supply you maybe?

ring talktalk first and try and find out whats going on

TALK TALK = CHEATING LYING SCAMMERS

Sorry for shouting folks, but after three phone calls, they have finally admitted to cancelling the order "because of problems with the fibre connection"

After checking, they then said there is NO problem with the fibre connection.:mad:

They then went through the order again and tried to charge me extra because the offer which I took up three weeks ago is no longer available.:mad::mad:

Finally after going through the whole process again, they have agreed on the same price, but said that the order will not go through until 4th April:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

They have also informed me that I - not them - will have to contact Sky to make sure that Sky are not cancelling my phone/BB service from Tuesday:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Is this typical of the (lack of) service which I can expect from this outfit?
  • look at other deals, Vodafone do fibre for £26 a month or £23 if your a mobile customer. £80 cashback through topcashback.

also BT, not an ideal selection though have fibre for £28.99 a month with a £200 giftcard on a 12 month deal. Cashback in excess of £100 if you go through topcashback

We would NEVER sign up to Talk Talk ever again because their internet service is rubbish and their customer service is equally as bad.

Just moved to Sky so hoping they are much better. Only time will tell I suppose!!

I am moving from Sky, mainly because the costs kept going up, and there were no reductions for existing customers.
I never had to call their support, so this experience with Talk Talk has me really worried.
I will be saving around £15 a month compared to Sky and also getting extra features for no extra cost.
This is assuming that it all goes to plan though.

TalkTalk have many happy customers who seldom log on to forums such as this to sing their praises, but there is a forum where customers experiencing difficulty with TalkTalk can communicate with some expert users and also with TalkTalk's support team.
