Target has the contract to administer post-sales issues for HTB and earlier shared equity facilities. It appears to be under-staffed and takes time to do anything. The timescales have got worse in the current circumstances, as you would expect. There is no way to provide you with any kind of estimate.I am a mortgage broker. When dealing with Target during the sale of our house which completed last month, I found it much more useful to call them as they can action things over the phone quite quickly. With it being five months I would call them ASAP.0

Did you get anywhere with this? We have been waiting since October and it's nearly October again. Our mortgage offer expired and so has our interest free period, technically so has our RICS survey. It's becoming a little beyond a joke now.1

Tried contacting them via. telephone multiple times? Raise a complaint with them and if you don't hear back, raise it with the financial ombudsman.

What steps did you take/what's the process?I've currently got a Halifax mortgage and I'll be considering my options in the new year re. remortgaging and paying off the loan.0

I’m doing this through a mortgage company. They’re liaising with the bank for extra loan on top of the existing mortgage .1

Hi, yes we have contacted them countless times I have no idea. It was as many as twice a week at one point. I tried the financial ombudsman and got no reply. Our local MP contacted homes England and was ignored. We raised a complaint with them months ago, didn't achieve anything. They call us occasionally to update us on the fact that they have done nothing. Thanks for your reply, let me know if you have any more suggestions in case there's anything we haven't thought of.dhokes said:SophieHull said:Did you get anywhere with this? Ah, sorry about that. I'm not looking forward to dealing with them when I come to redeeming my loan. I hope you manage to sort it out.

My partner applied to target to redeem his help to buy at the start of September as we are buying another property, all our other conveyancing has been done. We, the buyer and the seller are all now waiting for target to send back the redemption so we can all move and get on with our lives! We did not know that this process would take so long and target are a waist of time, they will not give us any update or time scale to ease our frustration, all they say is it is with homes England and there is nothing they can do or tell us. This situation is causing us so much stress, there is only so long people will wait for us, everyone has time restrictions for mortgages ect. Help to buy was supposed to help people with housing, but now we are trapped and can’t sell as they hold all the cards! Not to mention the money we will all loose.
Any one else waiting on this at the moment? Or any advice much appreciated.0
