Personally I prefer Twin*ngs, either breakfast or everyday, which I look out for on offer in the £ shops or about once every six months in Mr T and stock up a-plenty. I have tried the Al*i own and found them passable. I am a miser though, and save every two bags to make a third cup for nowt"

Thank you Lynnejk Not driving any more really restricts me to Morries or Li**ls, which are on a direct bus route from me, but there is a Farm foods near my daughters so I'll ask her to keep a watch for me. I use a teapot, and find 2 Yorkshire tea bags make 4 strongish mugs of tea, will experiment and see if 4 used bags will make another pit. Thanks for the tip :-)

3 nsds since my first shop so I'm feeling very cheerful. Think the flexible meal plan is paying dividends too:)

Nsds yesterday and today. Think I'm going to be ok for April, as we're away for a week of it. I bought very little at the wkd, compared to what I normally get in. I'll be eating some weird combinations before Tuesday though!! The children had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, and I shan't have anything as I'm still not 100% from the migraine I had last Thursday.

Weds, thurs and fri are looking like nsds too. I think I'll be having mushroom omelette tom while the children, who don't like mushrooms or omelettes(!!), have jacket pots. That'll use up some of the spuds... Then thurs and fri the ch will be at their dad's, so I'll be creating something with cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and spuds. Poss a chicken breast roast as that's quite sw friendly. On Sat, I have the ch back and we'll probably have something easy - I have a couple of pizzas in the freezer, then on Sunday I'll have whatever will need eating before Tuesday. The fridge is still pretty much full, and I know I don't need to buy anything, so I just need to stay out of the shops!!

    Evening all

    Spends today were

Home Bags = £7.53 (mainly cleaning & laundry stuff)
    £ Land = £2.00 (cleaning stuff)
    Mr T on-line = 33.16 (mainly stock cupboard to use a MOC)

So total of £42.69 added to siggie.

I know it seems a bit high for first week of month, but was running low on cleaning and laundry things and seemed a shame to waste a MOC from Mr T.

Looking forward to a few NSDs now as fairly well stocked for most things - just need tomatoes which DH 'forgot' yesterday :o

Hope you all have a winning Wednesday

  • It's all gone a bit wonky here, thanks to the fact that I couldn't be ars3d to do a Sunday night prep session, and also DH decided to do fried chicken instead of roast chicken Sunday dinner, which threw everything out. Last night we ran so late at a school thing we ended up stopping at a supermarket for rotisserie chicken and dips, that's an extra $25 that didn't need to be spent. And all the lovely baby spinach and beansprouts that I bought for my Home Made Cup Noodle experiement are moulding reproachfully in the fridge. Bah.

Nothing spent so far this month but hubby is going to do the shopping today as he's off work this week using up holiday before the end of his holiday year. I'm slightly worried about what he'll come back with. We have made a list together which is : bread flour, butter, cheese, tinned toms and sugar but there's next to no chance that's all he'll buy. Still, he is planning on walking to the shops so with that little lot of heavy stuff it shouldn't be too bad. :-)
