Easy to use phone wanted for elderly MIL
And before anyone asks - it is not a swap...
My MIL is elderly and tends to get confused. She can't cope at home on her own at the moment and has just been admitted to a home/rehabilitation cantre for a few weeks. If she wants to make or receive phone calls the home has a phone on a trolley, but we would rather she had a mobile so we can get in touch.
Trouble is that most phones are not as easy to use or intuitive as the makers like to think - especially for those who have never had one before!
We need one that has clear buttons - we can programme numbers into it but it needs to be easy for her to ring a number that's in the memory. Clear good-sized buttons are also a must and the phone needs to be a reasonable size or it would probably get lost!
Both her children live over 200 miles away and will be visiting at weekends only (both teachers so no holiday to take) and we would like to get one asap to take up this weekend.
Any suggestions gratefully received!

check out the Motofone F3 at £8 + airtime from e2save ...
the display is effectively oversized and easily viewable in bright or dim conditions, and the control/menu is very simplistic (and the ones I've gotten from them have been unlocked)Used my MB profits to trade London for Cyprus ...0 -

TO be brutally frank, having just gone through similar, do not bother with a mobile.
If she has never used one she will not start now. And even the F3 is not easy for an old person.
Best to let the carers bring her a phone and dial you if necessary.0
