How does your partner get on with your kids? My wife seems to struggle with my son, always has done, and likewise with her friends in similar situations, they all seem to detest their step children, mainly where they have their own in the equation

Anyone else see the same? or have any more positive stories to share?

2 of my stepsons, I've always got on with.

The youngest stepson, not so good & I've never got on with my stepdaughter.

I'm pretty sure that it's probably something to do with the fact that the 2 oldest have never actually lived with me but the youngest 2 did so they resented someone who wasn't their father expecting them to pull their weight around the house instead of leaving stuff for their mother to pick up all the time.

I have 2 children from a previous relationship & my partner also has 2. We all get on really well through yet I will admit we do not live together yet so that may change (though I hope it doesn't).
