Unfair Neg Feedback... :(

I bought some tickets off a tout who stated they were VIP tickets. He later admitted they were not VIP, only good seats. I left positive feedback saying "not VIP seats but good communication and fast delivery". He leaves a neg saying "Beware, leaves malicious feedback for no reason".

What the hell?? I messaged him and he is being very unreasonable saying i branded him a liar. I left a follow up to his neg saying please see my POSITIVE comment, it will explain this nonsense. I had messaged him after i paid to say that i think it was unfair to describe as VIP tickets and if i had known they were ordinary seats i would not have bid so much but there was no reply.

Any ideas what i should do? I realise now at the time i should have reported it to ebay as it was not as described.

  • You could ask him to do a mutual withdrawal. I do not think there is a lot more you can do.

Maybe someone will come along with a better solution.
  • A mutual would help you, but not make a great deal of difference to him as you left him a pos.

He's clearly daft enough to think that people will notice a comment left by a positive - really, it's unlikely they'll spot your comment.

If you WANT people to spot your comment - leave a follow-up to the feedback YOU left... saying 'After I left this, Seller left me a malicious negative' [insert closing insult here, 'unpleasant person', etc etc.]

You could do this and then try to get a withdrawal... he may not realise that a mutual withdrawal will make your comment stand out more!

Whats happening?? I only filed a dispute, i didnt know anything about getting money back. Any advice guys??

  • It's not a good idea to leave a postitive with negative comments.

It could affect his future sales and he probably saw red and gave you a negative.

File the item not as described but sadly it will be your word againt his. Take a photo of the tickets you got and send them to paypal when they ask for additional information.

If he has not refunded you and sent you a silly email claiming that he has just keep the email as evidence but do not respond to him directly.
  • What venue were the tickets for? I know quite a lot about music venues so if you want to PM me with the ticket details I can look into them for you and tell you whether they are actually good seats or not.

on a dispute paypal take the funds out of the seller's account until the dispute is resolved. ATM nobody has the money you paid. once the dispute is resolved it will go into the account of the person who is found in favour of the dispute. if that makes sense?
