Hi everyone,I am currently a member of MFIT,my aim is to get the mortgage to 30,000 by the end of the 3 years,it currently stands at about 42,000,which considering OH and myself are part time workers will be quite a push.
Could I join you as well and see what extra I can pay off in the extra 2 years.
Originally I was wanting to pay the mortgage off before I was 40,which is in 6 years so this will give me an extra push.
    Thanks amazamum:T

The more the merrier as this is a tough task is'nt it? :T

Today I cancelled a professional annual subscription which was going to cost me £100 in Jan. I don't really need it, so that saves £500 in 5 years and hubby signed up for Pay-As-You-Go car insurance with Norwich Union (as per St Martin's bumph on car insurance) as we do less than 6000 miles a year. Hopefully, this will save us £100 - £150 per year so thats a saving of £1k to £1.5k in 5 years. Just have to do that 167 times now and we're home & dry:D:rolleyes::rotfl:

    Morning,

Well Mr SMF has decided to sell some of the shares but now the window has closed for selling and we have to wait to Nov 1 - so fingers crossed that the markets don't go into melt down before then:o.

The jalopy goes in for service today. Needs a new exhaust which only a dealer can fit ( tried an exhaust centre) so expecting bill to be in region of £500 - £1000. Cars are so beeping expensive:eek:.

I have some Tesco shares that I am deliberating whether to sell,at current prices (share price went up @23p the other day)they are worth about 2000 pounds.
The only thing is if I sell them and put the money into the offset account for the mortgage I may dip into it,not intentionally but if we are having a bad month the oppertunity is there.

On a better note a good friend is having her baby tommorrow and I can't wait.

    Hi

Car came in at £800 - £500 for the exhaust and £300 for service. We'll have to work hard now to overpay at the the end of this month.

Keep us informed about the baby:T
