Anyone bought Iphone from EBay?

Anyone bought an iPhone from Ebay that was unlocked? I want to buy an unlocked one but would prefer it if someone had a recommendation, it looks a bit of a minefield to me - any help would be great. However, you won't talk me about of it!

As far as I knew they were all locked to AT&T however apparantly they managed to get round this?

To be honest I don't think i would buy one because you can't be guaranteed its unlocked until you've parted with your money.

I would just wait until the UK version comes out, they can't be going for that much cheaper than on us ebay?

Ive been considering getting an iPhone, i did think about buying an unlocked version because £35 a month is more than im currently paying, but i can afford it so why not.

Tells u pretty much everything u need to know, including Apple are rendering unlocked phones useless once they release firmware updates. And you might say "i just wont update the fireware" But chances are you will, or itll break on you or something, not worth the risk IMO.
