Dear all, new to this forum and Tax-Free Childcare (tfc). I would appreciate some help and apologies if this has already been answered on one of the 14 pages of this forum:
I have just registered 2 children succesfully for tfc. I didn't know about it until now!
One has already been in nursery since March 2019 and the other since March 2021. Is it possible to back claim some of the credits? Where can I find this out?
Thanks in advance.0 -
As far I am aware no you cant back date0

In order to pay into the Tax free childcare account you need to put in an account name for the payee - not the account number or reference, but the name of the business. If the details don't match, it won't pay. Does anyone have any idea what the account name is? I can't find the answer to this question anywhere.0

I'm in the childcare voucher scheme, and may be transferring to a different employer under the TUPE rules. The new employer uses a different childcare voucher provider to my current employer. Would I still be eligible for the childcare voucher scheme after transferring employer under the TUPE rules? Thanks0

However, if you are transferring to a new employer via TUPE, your rights are protected and you will still be eligible to remain on the Childcare Vouchers scheme.

Hi there, can anyone tell me if the £500 quarterly cap is per child or per household? Thanks0

Really hope this can be taken up by Martin Lewis to ensure unused Childcare vouchers can be refunded and not lost when the child turns 16 years old (technically 1st Sept before the 16th birthday), in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and lack of being able to use hundreds if not thousands of pounds of vouchers during this period. Additionally, very few places seem to now be accepting them - only the likes of PGL, but for how much longer? Therefore vouchers obtained in good faith for use in future years now are not 'fit for purpose', therefore should be refundable with no questions, but the success of refunding seems a lottery, being very dependent on the employer and voucher scheme involved, which is completely wrong. Please Martin????

Have been getting child benefit payments and just applied for this. Will child benefit continue? It isn’t tax credit or childcare vouchers so not entirely clear to me.0

Tax free child care will not affect child benefit.0
