Paypal surcharge Flybe

They are charging 3% for PP and card payments. Is this not illegal?

Ryanair have charged for ever. Yes there is a charge to the company for using the payment processing facility but it is nothing like 3%. Think it is more of a stealth charge.

For companies that boast about their efficiency and lean keen business model, the extra that they charge in excess of the card issuers fees and the like clearly suggest otherwise! Unless of course it is really is just a way of boosting their profit.

It is fine for the government to introduce regulations to restrict these charges to what us sensible, but what this demonstrates is that they do not have a clue of how the real world operates. They need to ensure that all of these loophole and ways around the restriction are closed off before they are even implemented. But when did politicians are civil servants know what they are doing. Too busy boosting their egos and feathering their nests.

I much preferred the legislation that banned a card surcharge.
