Yep, Little Britain. Of course we were really prosperous in the late 60s early 70s - not. And what do you think our fe(c)kless politicians will do with their £25m per day? Oh yes, spend it on the NHS :rotfl:
I think 'sick man of Europe' was the phrase you were looking for'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
“We have our own dream and our own task. We are with Europe but not of it. We are linked but not comprised. We are interested and associated but not absorbed”.

I must admit I find it a bit strong how the brexiters keep moaning about remoaners complaining, when Farage was already making his plans to try and get us out when early on referendum night he though he was going to lose.0

Because, rightly or wrongly, a different logic applies to whether you are campaigning for or against the status quo.0

I voted out.
Just as I do not believe that all remain'ers are lost foolish blind sheep clinging on the a false sense of security ruled by fear of the unknown to stupid to grasp the opportunity we have. Please do not think that all out voters are racist xenophobic un-educated fools.
I love the idea of the EU lots of countries clubbing together to look after the greater good. Fab. The issue is that it has gone from a trade organisation to a monster which wants to control each and every part if our lives.
I love the fact that parts of Europe are different and have their own identity. The Eu was not only trying to erode the differences but also control our laws and treasury.
It will be very interesting to see what happens to the remain'ers if the French election swings to the nationalist side.Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -

Exactly right as you say parts of Europe are different and have their own identity. Whether we are in the EU makes no difference to that fact. A lot of brexiteers think otherwise....that's the problem.
Don't backtrack now, continue with the collectivisation and derision of leave voters, you looked like you were committed. What happened?0 -

can someone please tell this stupid remoaner she has lost.....I am tired of her self serving !!!! that we have to constantly listen to.....
it really angers me that remoaners are acting like this, do you really think if the vote went the other way they would have entertained even half of the brexit blocking tactics used against leavers?
it seems people have selective memories when it comes to democracy.
The referendum was 'won' (if you can call it that - as the Leave side seems to be intent on turning their victory into as colossal a catastrophe as possible) by Leave.
But that doesn't mean we stop having a parliamentary democracy. Miller was right to insist that Parliament had a vote, as was upheld by the judiciary.
I am afraid your anger does your cause no favours. Whatever Brexit ends up being I expect it will not be as extreme as you are hoping for, so maybe you should try and come to terms with that now.0
