The way I read her point is that she has led the horse to water and it hasn't drunk. It's not her place to force the horse to drink and she's done her bit.

What do you see her point as being?

The horse has decided all on its own to have a nice drink of banana nesquik.

Ms Miller thinks that the horse has the power and intelligence to decide for itself what it wants to drink, but she'd actually like to force it to drink sixteen bottles of Moët & Chandon instead.

Why should there not be similar pressure to shape Brexit so that it is in the best interests of the greatest number of people? Reality is far more complex than a simple in/out decision.

    ...

Fortunately our version of democracy does not rely on simple majority results of referenda for everything, we elect representatives to debate and make decisions for us.

The irony of which is that Ms Miller is now complaining (through her "horse to water" remark) that Parliament failed to do what she wanted.

She is now on a different path to both the main parties, which can only mean that she will ultimately lose. I am not convinced that there was ever anything that she could actually win, other than being a costly annoyance to the State and the majority of the People.

I am a complete hypocrite on this, of course, in that if I had the opportunity to fund a legal action and resolve my pet cause in whole or in part, I would take it.

Didn't you Brexiters want the UK to be sovereign.

    .

Yes, but Remainers are about ensuring we eventually remain, or semi remain (through incentivising the EU to offer us a worse deal for Parliament to reject) thus keeping Brussels sovereign.

    Yes we do.

    We elected them.
    They debated.
Last night they made a decision.

First off certain people were moaning that the govt didn't have authority.
Now they are moaning that parliament doesn't have authority.

Why don't we all just say !!!! it and let Gina miller's lawyers tell us what to do.

Why does no one in the news or general media query and make more fuss of the people who are backing her, she it not doing this on her own.

Because she has a right to do this. The question is whether most people, in the same situation, would have the arrogance to do it. Also, whether, ultimately, there should be some limitations on the extent to which a private individual should be able to fight constitutional battles with the Government (or perhaps it should be limited to Super-Complaints from reputable public bodies?)

The danger is that one person starts to yank the chain of Democracy in a fundamentally undemocratic way.

I remember when this first started there was mention of a Spanish company with interests in the UK who was backing her, no mention of it now. There must be others from the EU backing her who have an interest in the UK staying.
She can't be using her own money for the court cases.

She said in her hour long LBC interview that her supporters all fell away when the online abuse started and she claims to have more or less been left on her own to fund and front it.

It's a shame everyone did not hear that interview as during it her mask slipped under pressure when she revealed her real aim was to keep us in and that her forcing Parliament to have a vote was merely an end to this means.

Ever since that interview she came better prepared and never let the mask skip again. She lies by saying she agrees we're leaving. But yet again when the vote did not go the way she had hoped, she once more gets on her high horse about process and Parliament.

During that LBC interview she came across as supremely arrogant. She kept saying the people had voted under misapprehension, that they were fed lies. She is utterly unaware that Remain was nothing but a pile of lies and State manipulated discourse designed to deceive and scare people

When will they understand that the people have spoken. Sorry those who wanted to have. Those who could not be bothered are moaning that things did not go they way the wanted.

Such a waste of money and opportunity.

Now is the time that we should be standing together making a strong statement that we are positive about the move and that we can make a success of it.

can someone please tell this stupid remoaner she has lost.....I am tired of her self serving !!!! that we have to constantly listen to.....

it really angers me that remoaners are acting like this, do you really think if the vote went the other way they would have entertained even half of the brexit blocking tactics used against leavers?

it seems people have selective memories when it comes to democracy.

He based this on 52% voting in, 48% out.

Back then, he told the Mirror: ‘In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way. If the remain campaign win two-thirds to one-third that ends it.’
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher
