Pigeons nesting under my panels

  • I used my local roofer and they setup some mesh around my panels to stop the pigeons getting under them sounded great, I got them to do the work and everything was fine. A few weeks later I started having issues with my solar panels and it turns out they had damaged the solar panels by drilling into them!

I have since had them replaced and with a bit of real research I found a company who do pigeon proofing for solar panels to stop any new issues with the new panels! Company was called Direct Solar Care, super easy to use and the guys that came down talked me through what they were going to do and promised they would not cause any damage to the solar panels, its been 2 weeks and I have not had an issue they also promised to come back free of charge if any pigeons get back under the panels. Can't rate them enough after the headache I started with

Hope that helps anyone out there, whatever you do, do not use a roofer they all say they can do the job but have no idea what they are doing!

Can you let me know when you had your panels installed as I am going tottery to go the legal root with A Shade Greener but need to know when it became common knowledge that pigeons are a major nuisance with solar panels.
    Thanks so much. Joan

After the temperature last weekend, I be surprised if the pigeons under my panels weren't attempting to incubate hard boiled eggs.

Has anyone had any success with challenging A shade Greener over the cost of pigeon proofing their solar panels?
  • Interested to find out if anyone’s had any success with these idiots.... I’m planning on turning the panels off to see if they respond.
