I meant to update this earlier sorry. I spoke to PALS who put me in touch with the site manager and they sorted it for us. I think having the ticket helped loads.
As you have found out, it pays to talk to PALS on these issues. Tell anyone that gets one of your success. Mum will be relieved. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I really appreciate everyone's help. Thanks again!
Great! As expected!
We wish more people would do this, again and again, every time, like this guy's friends/family should have done:

NHS Trusts should be ashamed of their parking operators and ashamed that they signed a contract to allow this harassment.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good to hear its been resolved, however the ticket should never have been issued in the first place.
If i was on the receiving end of this, i wouldnt be dropping it.
The NHS parking principles are quite clear, and some hospitals have boasted about parking eye keeping all the revenue from issuing parking charge notices.
Hospitals can not hide behind the commercial sensitivity clause when asking for FOI requests.
Using all the above I would then ask the hospital how much, or if parking eye charge the hospital for their services, where the income from parking charge notices goes and so on.
sometimes you dnt need to bother with that as you may be able to dig up a story in the local press where the NHS trust will be boasting that the pakring eye scheme costs them nothing as all the income from pakring charge notices goes to parking eye.,From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0
