Yesterday I spent £1 on raffle tickets and £1 in church collection. Mr p had a NSD.
Today I have made dinner from scraps of vegetables left in the fridgeand a topside joint from the freezer. Then I found some carrots in the garden so have put them in slow cooker with meat. I have loads of eggs so will make Yorkshire puddings for the men.
I also totted up the Euros we have and am going to exchange them for pounds later as DSIL is going to Germany tomorrow. It will give us about £20 for the rest of the week. Trying to spend as little as possible but we will need milk and bread.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Poo, good luck with your new shiny diary and debt busting plans. I used to read your dairy and I'm delighted to find you again. I remember you were saving up to go to USA. I'm sure it won't be long before you are back on track once again and look forward your updates. I was in big debt and your dairy always gave me great inspiration and made me realise that I could feed my family without spending much money at all. I now have chickens, a vegie patch and batch cook everything and I've got you to thank for that.0

Thank you for your lovely posts bubblesmum and rubyjam. Gosh were you reading my posts when I had all the men at home and we really did live on a shoestring.
Life got easier and I got a bit less careful with money but we can do it....Thank you for the encouragement. I am really pleased that I helped someone else. Thank you.
I am doing okay Verbatim. Thank you for asking..
Yesterday Mr P and I had to clean the cottage so I didnt think I did any moneysaving.
Luckily, it was left immaculate by previous occupants. So we managed to do what we needed, two decrepit old people together. Him with his bad shoulder and me with my bad back hip etc. That was how we both felt yesterday ad we didnt have DD to clean for us.
We then had a meeting with DS2's support worker and the benefits advisor from a great local charity about DS2's appeal about his benefits being stopped. If you have seen I Daniel Blake you will know how true to life it is.
I went to Co-op for a few bits, mainly milk and bread but found a bag of pears for 35p and also some hot cross buns for 50p for 6. They weren't on my list but I thought they might encourage DS2 to eat.
DSIL did me a deal for my Euros. It was €25 so he gave me £21 Which paid for shopping and we still have cash leftover for the rest of the week..
Later I went to WI where I spent £1 on the raffle. I didn't win . And £2 on a pashmina to use as a light throw in the cottage.
I also found a local lady who can wash and dry the cottage superking duvet for £10. It definitely won't fit in either of our machines. So I dropped it off to get. The post office acts as agents for someone who charges £25. So £10 saved.
In total £6.97 spent yesterday.
Today I am going to visit credit union to see how much I have in there. I started saving again when we got home from USA. I thought I might throw that at the credit card but I am tempted to leave some for emergencies. It is only 2 or 3 hundred. But better than nothing. I get to spend almost two hours in the car with DD and DGS ☺Makes me happy.
A customer who is late paying us for a cottage stay needs chasing as payment is almost a week late. It may be an oversight.
Today I hope to find cheaper home and cottage insurance....business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Beanie, they have part paid, a week late.
I seem to have lost some posts. Probably got distracted and forgot to send...
Trying to remember what I have done... On Tuesday I bought some groceries at Mr S with £17 from my Nectar card. I needed to as cottage person still hadn't paid anything and I was determined to keep to my promise and not touch the credit card. I haven't cut it up yet as I might need it for an emergency.
Still working on home and cottage insurance. I am hoping to get some more quotes tomorrow. I cancelled the online accounting system with the bank and managed to access the same software through the accountants for a quarter of the cost. It is now £8 per month. Now I need someone who knows how to use it to input our data. Then accountancy costs will be massively reduced each year.
It was cottage changeover today. DSIL came over to clean for us. I did some easy bits like made tea and coffee for the workers, but then had asthma attack, have been to doctors and have steroids to take for a few days.
Yesterday I went to SW, and I only spent £1 on the raffle as I don't pay now I am at target.
Mr P has been very sensible and only spent on tobacco.
I will work out a cash flow for the month and then will know what I can throw at the credit card.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Sorry re the asthma attack. Not great. Well done on plugging away at everything. We are also hunkering down... it does feel good for the soul not being frivolous. Feel focussed and really thinking hard about what we want to spend our money on.
Will PM you..have a request
