I wonder why they don't use the wording "hackney carriage" on their signage, they seem to think everyone knows by taxi they mean a hackney, and does not include private hire vehicle.
Lets face it no one says I'll phone a private hire vehicle, taxi is surely too generic to refer to a specific type of vehicle.0 -

Seems like with many things in London, be it the Congestion Charge, Low Emission Zone or this, you are just expected to know. It's almost as if they don't expect people from outside of the capital to ever venture in.0
