What happens should you get a refund for a transaction using one of these cards?

I had a Cahoot card that offered exactly this service 10+ years ago.

Pretty handy in the days of large-scale hacking of supposedly secure data from online vendors.

The very significant issue with this solution is that you will likely not benefit from S75 protection as you are using a third-party.

Revolut does offer the ability to get a virtual card number, but you've got to pay £5 for the privilege. It's basically the same fee as the physical card, but you won't get a card delivered.

I assume every number does cost them a fair amount so it's not economically sensible to hand them out for free.
