Fibre upgrade, same contract or can i start a new provider?

Options
Hello

We are 3 months into our 12 month contract with TalkTalk for ADSL broadband and soon fibre will be available to us.

If I want to upgrade o fibre am I contractually obliged to go with TalkTalk or can I change providers for fibre without incurring any issues or costs?

Thanks

If you don't want to incur penalties then you need to stay with Talk Talk. The availability of fibre doesn't negate your contract with them for ADSL

You will still be in the minimum term with talk talk, so you can either buy out the remainder of the contracted minimum term with them to allow you to move to a different provider, or ask talk talk to change you to their fibre product, which will probably come with a new minimum term.

What you won't be able to do is move to a different provider without incurring an early termination charge from talk talk.
