Voters roll big problem

Options
Ok, I have a mortgage on my mums house she claim esa and housing benefit. I am 35 have lived away from my mums for 10 years I have never registered anywhere to pay council tax so have never paid it I have moved around friends and partners house. Everything of mine bank, passport, d licence etc is all at my mums address. The issue is I cannot obtain credit as I am not on the voters roll if I join the voters roll at my mums how will this affect her housing benefits and esa payments?? This issue is holding me back I am scared of joking the roll then my mum losing benefits. It seems I am being punished for helping my mum with a roof over her head

    You can register on the electoral roll at two addresses, it's only illegal to vote twice

    Find a stable address, register and move all your info there, apply for suitable card, Aqua is first choice, Vanquis second , may as well apply for the second if you get the first !!

    Register at your "mums" and you run into problems with her paying rent to you....be careful

    My mum gets £360 a month housing benefit and I take £150 off her and she keeps the rest so what's the issue with that? Surely I can register. I have capital one card now

    I can't advise on the benefits system sorry, I'm on your side for sure
    i believe renting to relatives can cause issues

    if you have capital one try Aqua soft search, and Vanquis ?

    Given that it's the Local Authority manage the electoral roll & the Local Authority that issue housing benefit, I'd say it's likely affect it.

    And if your mum is claiming housing benefit for the amount of £360 but doesn't actually need to pay that amount, yes that would be fraud. It may seem like you're being considerate but the Local Authority wouldn't see it like that

    You say you are 35 years old and are unable to obtain credit.
    YOU HAVE A MORTGAGE ON YOUR MUM'S HOUSE.
    Please clarify ......

    Council tax is a property tax. It is paid by whoever occupies the property. Presumably your mother has paid the CT on her house over the past decade

    The potential issues would be;

    (1) What amount has your mother said she was paying in rent in her HB claim?

    (2) What amount have you told HMRC you were receiving in rental income?

    She has said she pays £88 a week, which is no issue i can take £88 a week off her going forward. I have not told HMRC anything i thought you could get £7500 a year without a issue i also pay a £385 a month mortgage and this is interest only on the property. thank you for your help
