if it has a reference starting with a 1 , its from GLADRAGS themselves with the PPC as creditor and to pay gladrags

this should be treated as an LBC

if the ref starts with a 3 and to pay DRP, its a DCA letter and gladrags know nothing about it , so ignore it
  • Yeah it starts with a 3 and is telling me to go to the DRP website to make the payment within 14 days. And has a computerised signature of Gladstones Solicitors Ltd.
Will keep an eye out for one starting in a 1. Thanks a lot!
  • I have just received another letter from Gladstone’s Solicitors and the ref starts with a 1. Any advice on what to do next. I am looking to hopefully reduce the charge to the original amount. How should I go about this?

It will not be possible to get that reduction.

Have you received a Letter of Claim? does it give you thirty days to respond? Are there reply forms included?

If so, you need to react to that letter in the manner described in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.
  • It is a letter before claim with 30 days to respond and ways to pay or request a paper copy of reply forms

Then as said... you need to react to that letter in the manner described in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.

Is that your real surname clearly visible in post #19?
  • I can’t find post #2. Think i’m just gonna pay it to get rid of it. It’s been dragged on for years now
