OH's family are NI Protestant, my Dad is Southern Irish Catholic and mum is Salvation Army but myself and my siblings were all baptised Catholic. I'm a practicing Catholic but OH does not practice. My religion is a big problem to him and his family- more so now I'm practising. He now refuses even to call me his partner- only his girlfriend, trivialising our 11 year relationship and he told me it's all down to my religion!
I refuse to budge and convert though- my religion is important to me and I'm very close to my dad.
