Icelandair offered me the chance to start the bidding at £120 Manchester to Reykjavik.

Ended up being able to move to row seven at check in. Huge leg room. No fee.0 -
Might be worth enquiring on the cost when you check in at the airport. I did this recently at LHR for a flight to Johannesburg, and although the upgrade cost wasn't cheap, it was a lot cheaper than had I booked Business Class originally.
It was worth it to me to pay the cost for a flat bed on an 11hrs overnight flight. Not everybody would do the same0
