    Morning all,

Lovely bright day here I have a towel load in the wm so will hang it out in a while, we need to have a quick tidy round this morning.

OH is meant to be taking the gate posts out for me this morning, we have Iron gates over the drive which we never close in fact they are tied back, my new car is bigger than the last one and its really tight getting it in and out of the drive, so he is taking the gates out, but he has got terrible sciatica and is having trouble walking so we will have to see.

I shall have to see if he gets his treat of a new bucket, depending on if he is able to wash my car or not :rotfl:

Little Evie is going for her haircut this morning and I need to nip to Mr T to get some booze  my sister and BIL are coming round tonight and we are having a Wagamamas takeaway as a treat, I must say I am really looking forward to it as the food looks delish !

Have good days all and hugs to all in need xx

    Good morning everyone,

What a lovely day! The complete opposite to yesterday. Being quite OS today and having an NSD.
Been out walking pooch, put on load on to wash, hoovered upstairs and given the bathroom a quick wipe around. Just relaxing with a cuppa before doing a second wash load- can get those sheets out on the line today :T
Will make up a pasta dish for lunch with salad and something with chips for tea, think there is some ham that needs eating up.
If the weather holds out I'm thinking pooch can have another walk later this afternoon, what a difference in mood nice weather can have. Feeling positive and happy! Really want to get on and get jobs done.

Will go for a quick lurk and read before getting on.
Have good days all. Hugs to anyone who wants or needs one.

    Morning everyone
Its grey and dull here this morning, but seems to have stopped raining....it was pouring earlier. Done my ironing, cleaned bathrooms and put Tesco delivery away.....planning to be nice and lazy for the rest of the day.
Just skyped eldest DD in Amsterdam....she was stressed last night as her bike had broken and she was going to have to buy a new one. She managed to get one this morning for just 50 euros so she was happy; she's only there for another few months so didn't want to spend too much on it. She's going to a cat caf! this afternoon with a friend who also misses her cats....I have my own cat caf!!
Hope everyone has a good day

Having a quiet morning with a brunch of scrambled eggs on toast before getting the bus to York around one o'clock to meet older dd.

Hoping to find her a swimsuit to encourage her to go to a weekly session as her weight loss is a lot better than mine and it will be a "well done" for her efforts. DD and SIL are coming over as well as other ddd for lunch tomorrow so will look out for a nice joint of meat unless I decide to cook a big lasagne as a change.

Really pleased with the job the man who cleaned the double oven did as he took it to bits and cleaned it and then replaced everything. Still feel a bit guilty but gave myself a mental kick as I could not have made as good a job of it and I still need to recover properly from the blood clots in both lungs.

A parcel has just arrived from a site where each item is a fiver so treated myself to a pair of slippers, a raincoat, pyjama top, handbag and two tops. Will try them on when I get back from York so fingers crossed. I did get some compliments from my very discerning dds when I wore a blue top from there a few weeks ago (did not tell them how little I paid ;) )

I am so excited about the boat :j:j:j

Hope you are taking it easy and pacing yourself.

    Hugs to all

Hello again, the sun is shining and there is a good breeze so O.H has climbed out for me and put the washing on the line.

I've cleaned the cooker as far as I can, it is in a terrible state due to being very old and I believe that people may have had an abusive relationship with it in the past. Please let me find a house to buy, then I will have my own very old but working fine cooker out of storage.

I have cleaned the top of the boiler, it was rather fluffy. And have cleaned the bathroom and kitchen floors AGAIN.

I have had a fast bath and have got stuck on the Times crossword as usual.

Now it is time off for me.

redruby I have a nice new bucket and I am saving it for best. At present it is green and shiny. Nobody can borrow it because it is MY bucket.

Hester the cutting and sticking sounds fun, also icing and I m sure today's grandchild will not mind.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

:rotfl::rotfl: How on earth did you manage that Hester :rotfl:

Well after my very early start, rather than sit around doing nothing but feeling tired and feeling guilty for wasting my day, I got my !!!!! into gear and got out early.

Went to the supermarket for a big shop, to be delivered this afternoon. Then I went to the gym, went on the treadmill and for a swim and sauna. Then the long trek home.

I am thoroughly exhausted now but feeling pleased with myself :o

I can now quite justifiably sit on the sofa and do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day :D

I think H/H is so chuffed about her boat she is in overdrive :):):) will it be a case of 'don't go knockin' when its rockin' Hester ??? ;););)

Just had a sort out of some of my kitchen cupboards and couldn't believe how many packet mixes are in there As I am in a Love Food Hate Waste mode for Lent I dug them all out and now have them sitting in a long tuppaware box on my worktop. There are in total

5 packets of various flavour dried pasta

2 packets of flavoured cous cous Never tried it but am willing to give it a go :D

7 different flavours of packet sauce mixes

5 different flavoured dried rice mix

9 casserole mixes of various flavours as well

adding it up there is around £9.00 worth of stuf there that just not being eaten .So as its now on show, in front of me, its going to be tried and tasted and used up :o none of it is going to waste ,the pasta will do for lunches and the rice as side accompaniments to main meals.

By the way I managed to get hold of a click and clean mop from Dunelm and its absolutely brilliant and so easy to use ,no soggy floors I am so pleased ,thank you to who ever recommended it doesn't make my back ache as the other mop I had did.Brilliant on my wood floor in the kitchen as well as the bathroom.Doesn't take a lot to make this old biddy happy :):):):)
