As the sofa is technically second hand they would have to be mad or incredibly generous to pay you the balance. Come to an agreement of a one off payment for an agreeable and reduced amount (as is second hand) or collect it ... Whichever option you will still have to pay the balance

    No.
But I wasn't the one who gave advice to a poster who was long-gone 2 years ago.

I did ask questions of the OP almost 2 years ago...:p

There is no need to be so rude to new members.

FTR - I quoted the post by svain who has been a member since December 2016 to point out that he/she was giving advice on an old thread to a poster who hasn't logged back onto the forum since March 2017.

Quite often in those circumstances, the new post - by Upsman2018 who is indeed a new member - gets lost as other posters reply to the original (old) post.
    As svain did.

In fact, I've probably done the new member - Upsman2018 - a favour by bringing the focus back to his post and away from the original post.

Although Upsman2018's circumstances are similar to the OP, he may get more replies by starting a new thread.
