This weekend business is weird, isn't it? I work quite a lot of weekends, so while Facebook nearly always has posts about the joys of the weekend, here am I treating it as midweek.

Work will probably be okay thanks: rather a heavy workload this week then almost nothing next week, but that's what happens when you deal with humans. :) Last night was uneventful but physically active: it gave my back a bit of a workout without ill effects which is great.

I was going to claim another NSD, then I remembered I asked DD to pick up some washing up liquid (50p) and gave most of the remainder of my share of housekeeping (£15) to DH to get chips and Sunday dinner. I won't count the latter as my spending: I'm just pleased that after getting through quite a bit earlier in the week, I still had lots left.

Hard frost tonight... snow forecast tomorrow but at least the sun has been shining. :) (and Wednesday is still forecast to be 9 degrees warmer).

Nothing really MS, either, unless you count a mince pie for breakfast rather than waste them! :rotfl:

Hope the snow stayed away, we had quite a bit this morning but then a heavy shower seemed to clear most of it.

It snowed! :D From late morning till after lunch, and despite a bit of rain the ground is still white. I think it will have gone by morning though as it's getting milder and a bit misty.

Nothing spent today. This MS stuff doesn't make for a riveting diary, does it?! :rotfl:

It's getting warmer here too. Supposed to have a mild few days.

I really have nothing to write on mine as i've not spent anything and nothings changed. Just rambled to at least do a post so i stay motivated.

    :rotfl:

    Nothing spent yesterday (22nd).

I made up for it today: I bought myself a birthday present off a local sales site. It isn't my birthday for a few weeks so DH will be giving it to me then. :D Well I love cooking and this is a pretty good food processor. I did decide I would clear out a couple of items to make room but we're going to have to rethink that as it could be too heavy for the cupboard.

It's been all go today actually. The usual Tuesday-off activity plus some: home from work first thing this morning, moped around on the computer in a low mood, went to the shops, home for lunch, out to pick up my present, out again to my lesson, was home and starting to cook dinner when DH arrived and announced he was going for a run. I've so missed running that I shoved the food in the oven and went with him, and my mood has improved a lot now. Then I walked over to my friend's this evening and I didn't even need a coat! Yet last night there was snow on the ground...

Tomorrow I'm off to work on Mum's house: not sure how much I will get done and the rail fare has gone up £6  but I need to show my face and get some jobs out of the way, even if it's just some cleaning and clearing out the Christmas decs which I'm hoping have been left boxed up for me to deal with.

    Spends:
    Gifts £50.00
    Piano lesson £10.00
    Household £0.79
    Hobbies £1.50
    Housekeeping £15.05
    MS stuff:
    Bargainaceous food processor :)
Nearly bought a pasty for lunch but came home and made a sandwich :)
Found a little kilner jar in a charity shop for only 79p - most are just big enough to encourage me to take too much lunch!
    Confession time:
Bought Qu@ker oats instead of the usual cheapy ones as I really want to go in for their recipe/photo competition. Also got a charity shop buy to accessorise the photo of my recipe if and when I get round to making it. That's an over-spend of about £2.10.
Noticed funds in the housekeeping account are down to £23.51  which doesn't sound like much to cover us till the end of the month. We do each have about £40 cash though (phew). A cheque has been paid in later than expected but in an ideal world I would have made sure it had gone through before I made a mortgage overpayment the other day!

For some reason the mortgage overpayments never make it onto this diary: I think somehow my head has filed them alongside Direct Debits and Standing Orders. Yet I make an effort to overpay at least once a month and the mortgage is a lot smaller than it was a year ago and they are actual money going out of the account even if I never see it.
