    Have a wonderful time 🙂
    Thank you :)
We are maintaining two worlds at once Cherry and thus we are Very Impressive. Not at all silly.
I shall however do a crossover and mention that progress has been made in the thicket.
The other option re keyboard is of course a cheap plug in keyboard, I used to turn my laptop into a monitor this way and sit very lazily with the keyboard on my lap.
Aren't we clever! I have a feeling there's a spare keyboard somewhere so I will bear that in mind thanks.

Sounds like all the best of reasons for being tired
True. :) It was worth it. :)

Thanks - I will be sticking my feet out more than necessary now!

A quiet day today, and the weather has been lovely and bright but just pleasantly warm.

DH took his metal detector to the beach this morning and found a drinks tin, a spoon and some mysterious rusty thing. I can see our fortune is made. :)

I stayed at home and pottered around and generally took it easy. I got a visual migraine for about half an hour, which doesn't hurt but is a bit weird and is the second in about a week. Normally I'd get about six months between them. Definitely in need of chilling, so it's as well I have these days off. After lunch we had a long walk on the Welsh Coast path with wonderful views and hardly meeting anybody. There were a lot of steps early on, which proved our hearts and lungs are working okay, but after that it was a narrow trail through woodland then a commanding view of the bay, with the sea all silver and blue.

Back at the AirBnB DH opened an email from the Antiques Roadshow to say they haven't got enough tickets to give him one. He applied months ago, as soon as he heard it would be within reach, so he's really disappointed.

We had salmon and pasta for tea, then the owner came round to tell us all about the area. I didn't like to point out we won't get to see most of the things he told us about in the time we have, but maybe we will come back. It's one of those places I can see us coming to again.

Nothing spent, apart from DH having to put down a returnable £750 deposit for the classic car driving experience!

That is weird because I did too, I wonder if something in the sun or light quality is making them more likely.  But then I have been more stressed of late.

I'm sure stress must contribute though in my case I think tiredness is the main factor, and being away from home tires me. I hope your stress eases, it's not a good thing to live with. Let's hope we both get a break from the migraines now.

My stress got worse last night.  I am having an op next week but a "friend" last night said I shouldn't come home the next day because I need my bed moving downstairs because I won't be able to go upstairs & need a commode & even with the commode I won't be able to use it without help for a couple of weeks.  So basically I should go in a care home for 3 weeks.  Can you tell I am just a little bit unpleased.  All I can find is things like difficulty putting socks on & how to go upstairs, good leg first & downstairs, bad leg first, nothing about not being able to do either.  I'm not going to tell them but I am getting the commode out of the loft which will mean I can actually have as many fluids as I need without worrying about those stairs.  Oh for a downstairs loo!

Crumbs, @badmemory, is your 'friend' a nurse or doctor? And with the ability to see into the future to know how you will be? Or did they once have an op for something and that was their experience? The hospital is very unlikely to allow you home until you can mobilise unless they ensure you are going to a safe environment, and if you aren't sure, it's their job to listen to your concerns and make sure things will be all right. If it worries you and you don't want to wait till you're there, read up on the NHS website or ask your GP. Don't trust random websites either, as not all are reliable.

FWIW, I had an op a few years ago and was assessed on stairs before they would discharge me.

Further down this page is some info that might help. And feel free to 'talk' it through here if you need company.

(Being anxious is just a way of your body keeping itself safe and making you think through things to minimise risk. Make a list of your worries and tick them off or write out the solutions as you address them, if that helps).

Thanks for your thoughts.  I was just so annoyed.  He told me that 2 family members had had these problems.  He was going to come in & remove some of my furniture & bring my bed downstairs whilst I was in hospital because I would be confined to it for 3 weeks at least.  I still have steam coming from my ears when I think about it.  He even told me which care home to book & I even looked it up "requires improvement".  Says it all really.  It is a good job this was all after I passed my pre-op or my blood pressure would never have passed.
It has at least had one really good outcome though.  I am a bit inclined to put things off but my exercises will be getting done very promptly.  I go in next Thursday & hopefully out on Friday.  My father had the same atm the same age too 25 yrs ago & he was in 2 weeks, hip replacement.  How things change!
What he said has reminded me to get the commode out of the loft so that I don't have to keep on going up & down stairs so I guess that is another good outcome.  I have pages of lists so it is a good job I have another week.  I am really pleased to be going in so soon as the surgeon said 6-9 months & it is just 4 months now.
Sorry for the hijack when you have enough on your own plate.
