just caught up on this thread - paws I think you've made a great point about postage and thanks Hypno for working out costs doesn't seem as much as I would have thought either - I don't think we'll have any to send as we very rarely print and have an old laser printer which takes years to get through 'ink' but will let you know if I do.

Someone made a great point about drinks cans (sorry can't remember who). We collected some a few years ago from a residential we worked on and put them in the shed, then added ours. Before we moved we took them to the local place from a list we found on the web and got about 3.50 for them - ok not mega bucks but for a couple of bin bags full of cans! Maybe your children's school would let them save, and the ski club? Anywhere people might drink fizzy drinks. Years ago my cousin collected them for a band she was in and got cans from a local pub (they used to save them up in sacks for her and she'd collect them now and again) - might be worth looking into if you've got a garage etc you could store them in.

Please could you check if they really do recycle Epson cartridges? My local hospice collects all other brands, but not Epson (apparently their manufacturing process means that new cartridges are nearly as cheap to produce as using recycled ones - but possibly other Money Savers have an update on this info, which I gleaned over a year ago?).

    Good luck!

    I'm almost disapointed...

    Martin's weekly email clearly states
"Parent wants to exchange printer cartridges for her children"

And yet I can not see a single child being offered up for direct exchange... There goes my plan of getting someone in to do my housework... ;)

I usually donate my cartridges to Great Ormond Street, but will send some your way if it means you get some peace and quiet! :D

    Hi Hypno,

can you use Cartridges from Kodak photo printers? I have one which I was about to chuck and would be happy to send. Its a G600 if thats any help.

I'll also speak to OH as he works in a company that sells computers so should have a few knocking around. Will let you know.

    Good Luck

Wow, can't believe it made it onto the email!

With the massive amount of cartridges that Hypno gets in response to that, do you think she'll take us all to the Alps for a holiday?!

hi, back on line now, so will plough through and catch up. My PM box is full, so some people may have not been able to leave messages. If you give me a few mins I will read through and clear some space!

Thank you all, and for those who have already sent cartridges!!

    Double thanks Martin xxxxx
