Any experience of Carphone Warehouse cold-calling?

I was recently cold-called by someone from the Carphone Warehouse who offered a good deal on a mobile plan as mine is about to expire. I am currently a customer with One Stop Phone Shop (OSPS and I'll be posting a thread about them in a bit!) and as they are part of the Carphone Warehouse group I assume this is where they got my mobile number from.

Anyway, she gave me the choice of 2 phones and I wanted to go away and have a look at the phones and asked if I could call her back. She said that was fine and gave me her first name and direct line. I finally got around to calling her back yesterday and the number she had given me went through to the voicemail of a man at Carphone Warehouse's Head Office.

I rang their sales team and explained the offer that had been made to me but they said they couldn't match that. I am really frustrated as it's a really good offer which I would like to take up but I can't contact the person.:mad: The sales adviser suggested I speak to their "outbound team" but customer support have advised me that customers cannot contact them and as I don't have the woman's surname it would be hard to track her down.

Has anyone had a similar experience to this or perhaps any suggestions as to how I can claim this offer??

I get cold called all the time.

You can see from recent activity they have some sort of auto-call system, which when someone answers the call, puts them through to a cold-calling numbskull.

(all Carphone warehouse, and I am a customer)
(note: luckily for me I've jailbroke my iPhone and have an app that let's me block certain people.)

(oh! Forgot to say, never give them your details. 99% chance it's a scam! They have certain info about you which makes them sound legitimate.)

Never accept deals from anyone - who ever they purport to be - unless you get it in writing first. People regularly end up on here because they don't get the deal they agreed to and - once they find out - no-one cares. The salesperson has their commission, the company has its profit and YOU have the bill - nowadays 18 or 24 of them.
