I think the clues are in the name descriptions as the question what does “Smurfette” mean?
I found the following on Wikipedia but I don't think it helps. There are similar descriptions on other sites.

"is a female character from the Smurfs. Within the fiction, she was created by Gargamel, the Smurfs' enemy, in order to distract and trap them; however, later she was rescued by Papa Smurf and turned into a real Smurf. She was the only female Smurf until the creation of Sassette"

    Any ideas anyone?

We have clues! However, I've been hunting for ages WITH the clues and I still can't find a bl***y smurf!
    Clues are as follows:

Follow these clues to find the hidden Smurfs

1.It’s all go go go on this part of Talk – find the latest conversations and threads you can stalk.

    2. YABU or YANBU is the answer over here – it’s the part of Mumsnet that some people fear.

    3. Whether you like comedy or drama, we’ve got a movie – find the homepage and everything’s groovy!

    4. Talking about films is the key, and if you look closely there’s a Smurf to see.

    5. In Mumsnet Classics is the Smurf you seek – hiding with a little lost bunny – take a peek!

I think you're spot on with this place, I just think they've forgotten to place the smurfs around the site
