they told they can repair it(but they need to change the parts) I told them as it is new i don't want a repaired tv instead need a new one or full refund
As it is older than 6 months old, then in theory it is YOUR responsibility to prove it was inherently faulty.
They are offering a repair without asking for a report, and their offer of a repair is more than fair.
It is not new, so why do you feel you should get a full refund after having a year of use?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

No report is required as the OP should be claiming under JL's TV warranty rather than making a CRA claim. They have just completely misunderstood what they are entitled to.0 -
Hi
I had bought a expensive tv from john lewis less than one year and now it started to give problems . I had written to head of the customer care but they are not helping me to solve it. so i wrote to ombudsman but they replied me that john lewis is not participating with them. so Could some one please help me whom should i contact to complaint against them.
when I wrote to them today they replied me as follows
"To confirm, we at John Lewis are not part of any ADR schemes and not under the jurisdiction of either an Ombudsman or ADR scheme"
so please help me whom should i contact or what should i do
regards
greatsag
Im quite perplexed why you wrote to the Ombudsman for, your contract is with JL, speak to them and they are reasonable.they told they can repair it(but they need to change the parts) I told them as it is new i don't want a repaired tv instead need a new one or full refund
Sounds like you have been offered a really reasonable solution.
Maybe read up on what your entitled to.0 -
Sorry, how old is it?
In the opening post he says...I had bought a expensive tv from john lewis less than one year and now it started to give problems .
Which strongly implies 7 to 11 months. OK, taken literally it could be a matter of weeks in which case he would be on slightly stronger ground.0 -
I have bought two tv's from John Lewis both of them have needed repairs and John Lewis's customer service was second to none.
both of them were repaired at a time that suited myself and I would recommend them to anyone, as you can't go wrong with a free 5 year warranty imho.0
