I have recently booked flights through Qatar airways and I want to cancel them
I bought the tickets on the 26th Feb, 2017
Can I cancel them and get my money back?

Sometimes within 24 hours of booking.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

thanks for this but do you know where I can find my official rights? I have looked on the airline and they just supply a form to request cancellation0

Unless you paid for a flexible ticket generally they are non refundable.
The conditions will be included on the confirmation you got from Qatar.
If you cant travel for medical reasons etc then you might be able to claim from travel insurance0 -

What "official" rights do you think you might have?
Distance selling rules don't cover the tickets;

Each ticket type has its own conditions. Read yours.
My Qatar booking allows a fee to cancel, but it's about 30% of what I've paid. Mine are business class seats out of Finland.0 -
Check paragraph 16 of the ticket rules / T&Cs.0

what you would get back would depend on the type of ticket you purchased
Since you booked so recently you will likely be able to reproduce the search and when you select a flight you will see what are the options for changes and cancellations...eg looking at London to Doha on random dates Economy Saver and Economy Value tickets are both non-refundable but Economy Flexi is fully refundable (but does cost 3x the price of the Saver ticket)
For non-refundable tickets you should be able to reclaim the APD (£73 for economy) although Qatar may charge an admin fee to process
Your official rights are to receive what you paid for...if you chose a non-refundable ticket rather than a Flexi, you will have the fare rules of the non-refundable ticket and not the Flexi
Some airlines offer free cancellation within 24 hours of booking irrespective of fare rules, Qatar appears to give this for flights booked in the US (US law)0 -
And to add to the above, if you have bought via a shonky online travel agency you will likely have their fees to factor in on top of any possible refund from the airline.0
