Good morning. Happy St David's Day to any Welshies!
It's a dry but overcast day here. I have emptied the DW and filled it back up, that's about all I am doing today until this afternoon, when we are going to watch the grandchildren parade around the village in their welsh costumes. So that's 200 plus miniature welsh ladies and rugby players to wave at:rotfl:. ( weather permitting ). Afterwards we will go home via the meat van as they sell the best black pudding around and at a reasonable price too.
RR enjoy your new car
Tru hope your shoulder gets better soon. I read about your chickens and the song came into my head " who let the(dogs) chooks out"
Caronc good luck with your Dad's present. I always have that problem too but last year I decided just to take him for a suprise slap up meal and he loved it!
Have a great day everyone.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Good morning OSers!
Hugs to all and Happy Birthday to those celebrating.
Hello March! As much as I don't want to wish time away I'm glad to see you as I need payday to hurry up. DD is needing some clothes bits plus I am looking forward to seeing my saving pots grow - it's so addictive!
Miserable looking out there today but dry at least, bit chilly however so I do have the works heater aimed at my feet.
Tea tonight has not been planned...food shop day is coming so I am just rummaging about using things up.
Time for a quick glance through the threads, will pop on this evening for a good read tho.

Afternoon - and what a glorious one it is too, despite being extremely cold. The sun is bright, the sky is blue and the sea is twinkling. I've got the front door wide open getting some of that freezing fresh air in.
My teaching session was good this week :j the truculent seven are transforming into an attentive six and a monosyllabic grunty one.
One of my friends is making me a long curtain for the hall to cover the front door. It's three metres from top to the floor so will be heavy. Her husband rang last night so ask if he could come in and 'look at the wall' as most of this place is lathe and plaster. When I came home a short while ago there is a batten in place with the curtain pole hooks in so I'm expecting the curtain to arrive by school coming out time. I had a spare curtain pole languishing in the bedroom from when I wanted curtains there and changed my mind.
On the way home I stopped for a bacon roll and hot coffee - not my usual spending at all. It's just that I missed breakfast this morning, it's that extra 15 minutes in bed, and so my tummy was rumbling. They both went down a real treat!
Dumpling - hope you're OK!
Hugs all round.0 -
