Happy and safe driving in your new car RR xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Morning all,
Rubbish nights sleep for me. Stuff on my mind.
karcher so glad you sorted your keyboard. Mine gets done when I think about it.
Someone tell me to get out of bed. My Grandson will be here soon. My daughter is going for her 20 week scan and son in law is taking her baby shopping afterwards.
Onwards and forwards

tru, I'd been thinking of your chickens and hoping that the ban wouldn't be extended. I hope your shoulder gets better, I've had a sore shoulder for over a year now, it keeps getting better and then I forget and carry something heavy and it hurts again.
RR congrats on the car.
Dumpling, hope the boiler fitting goes well and they are not there too long. I've got someone coming to service ours this morning so I need to go and dress.
I may have been caught by a spped camera on the North Circular yesterday. I was in a 50 limit and going at the correct speed but I saw a flash behind me as I was going under a bridge and now I'm wondering if there was a reduction in the limit before the bridge to 40 which I didn't spot. Oh well, I've got two weeks to wait and see.
I want to make scotch broth today with the few bits of left over lamb from Sunday (I made stock with the bones yesterday). It was a huge leg but nearly all disappeared when I thought there would be lots left over.0 -
Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Have just checked my bank, SSE have put my payment up without notice, I will be on the phone to them shortly, cheeky beggars.
Not sure how I am yet, have been up to the toilet but that's it. Did sleep much better though. Not sue if we are going round to the little chapel for coffee, depends how I feel when I get up.0 -
Happy new car RR - enjoy your first day with it!0

Morning everyone, thanks for the thread Karcher, hope you have a productive meeting today.
Run free Tru's chicken, hope your Mama's arm keeps feeling better.
Dry and bright here but another cold one, we had a text last night to say that DOH's father is very poorly and hasn't too long so he will be heading off shortly to see him. They don't have much to do with each other but I have persuaded him that it may be a cause for regret later if he doesn't make peace before his Dad dies, there is blame on both sides that goes back years
I can't go with him as it's too short a notice to do anything with the girls and it's a 6 hour round trip so unfair to take them with us.
So, a day of waiting for me, will keep busy to keep my mind off what might be happening, the bedroom and en-suite got a spring clean yesterday and might move on to the next room.
Hugs to Dumpling, hope all goes well today.
Have a good day everyone, take care folks x0 -
Morning everyone, thanks to karcher for starting the thread and hugs to anyone who needs or wants one.
Pretty chilly here this morning and overcast with it due to get colder later so a comforting pot of mince will be made and debating between mash or dumplings to go with it.
I'm hoping it stays dry so I can "air my wheels" and I really must try and hoover as elderly pooch is in casting mode.
Apart from that it will be the usual mix of pottering and resting though so far my guag is better than it has been so might get a few extra bits done around the house.
Trying to decide what to get my Dad for his forthcoming 75th birthday - what to get for the man who has everything he wants or needs is always tricky.
Hope every one has a good day x0 -
Good morning everyone,
Hope we're all well this chilly Wednesday morning.
Yesterday evening was nice. Quickly made my dinner then made very easy low-carb brownies. Some bed time reading, tossed and turned for a bit and would've nodded off around 11.30 I recon.
Working today and tonight which means it'll be a late night. Good news is that means it's a NSD.
Karcher - have a look into low carb, high fat diets. That's what I've been on since the new year and I've made myself something sweet every week. This week is brownies, last week was cheesecake and ginger nut biscuits.0 -

On the carb front, bread is my downfall. I love the stuff.
Could you share your low carb brownie recipe please Speky

Good Morning chums and a bright morning it is as well, even though it was forecast to rain

Last night I went with some friends to Rochester library as my friend informed me it was definitely the evening when the 'Meet the Author' meeting was on .oh no it wasn't we were a month early
:):)as i had put in my phone originally its the 28th March. So she was so apologetic bless her we ended up going into a W'spoons in the High street and sitting having a good natter about books and life in general instead. So its now in large letters on my kitchen calendar
:):) Still we did have a nice evening and my friend wouldn't let me pay for anything as I had driven her there.
Today being the start of a new month is sorting out my accounts and making sure all are paid .What's left after bills and savings will be put to various 'stashes'
Then I have some phone calls to make then probably as the weather is a bit brighter I will take myself off for a wander down to the local country park and a walk along the riverside for some fresh air .Hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing enjoy
