Had a text from EE on 25th Feb. 2017 stating "Your £5 Line Rental Discount has been removed from your account, your normal Line Rental rate will apply".
Can they do this?
My 24 month contract started in August 2015.
Does this come under the thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5064278 started in July 2014???

It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!

Did you sit and think to ring 150 and ask them why?
Generally their discounts are open-ended as long as the account is being conducted well, do you always pay on time? any arrears?
I'm sure 150 could enlighten you or point you to a procedure to find out.====0 -

You'll need to check the details of your contract and any confirmation emails you got when you took the contract out to clarify (or as suggested call EE). It sounds to me like it could be a promo offer saving £5 for 18 months. Now that has ended you are back to full price for the remaining 6 months.0

Called in at local EE retail shop who tried to fob me off by telling me to phone 150, but I did that in the shop then but the two in contact via my phone. Took over 20 minutes to sort, and they knew what they were doing, so imagine if I'd tried to sort out myself via 150.
