It depends what mood I'm in really - if I'm in a nightclub and in a 'lets get drunk and dance till 3am' mood, then I don't mind a bit of dance music, but I wouldn't sit and listen to it on the radio - and opera I don't mind live, but wouldn't sit at home and listen to it. But generally I like stuff like Lou Reed, or heavier stuff like Metallica, or charty indie-rocky-sort of stuff.
Well a guy at work has been "trying me out" on all sorts of music, and the best fit we can come up with is "music, where they sing and you can understand the words." But even that's a broad stroke, as I do like some "dance" (Block Rockin' Beats by the Chemical Brothers and Confusion by New Order), and I'm not sure where that leaves my tiny collection of foreign pop or indeed the opera - where you can't understand the words...

Drummers have to have great independance (each arm and leg able to do different things at the same time) but those guys take to to a stupid level.
