Afternoon - made it to Glasgow and back in really good time without any large / slow vehicles in the road.
Before going to Glasgow I popped my head into my local bank, saw a big queue (six people all crammed in the cupboard like space which is my bank) and swiftly backed out. Just been back in for cash and the place was empty. The cashier had my cash waiting for me in her drawer as she knows what I take out and knew I'd be back. Village life at its best.
My decorator has now been paid, she wouldn't take a penny more than what she asked for even though she did more work than she billed. Anyway, she'll be doing more work here and I've told her the hallway / stairs are next and I'll work to her timetable. So, could be next week, could be next month but I'm happy to shift around to
accommodate her. Fabulous.
Tonight I'll be going back to the wine bottle I had to leave yesterday. :rotfl:0 -
Hi folks
Have had a horrid night awake for most of last night with IBS - not been so bad fo some time - so stayed home under the duvet with the cat for company. Made it as far as the sofa around lunchtime and have just been lazing keeping half an eye on the tennis from Dubai and half on Pinterest
Will have a bath later then bed again while DH shouts at the footie on TV. Need to be well for work tomorrow as I only work 3 days a week and don't get sick pay other than SSP with its 3 days wait! Still, at least it will be a short week and we have nothing happening at the weekend so can chill & catch up then
Not sure what to have for tea as I want something simple and not too challenging - think it will be poached eggs on a piece of toast and he can have some of the leftovers from our family meal on Saturday (roast beef etc and stuffed turkey leg) before it gets portioned for the freezer.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Evening folks. What a miserable day this has been with rain on and off all day and sunshine very much in short supply. We thought it was starting to snow at one point but, thankfully, it came to nothing!
On the trip to the hospital I set off sneezing again and back to blowing my nose so I decided it would be silly to go with MrTA to the Oncology unit and spread it around there. So I stayed in Leeds centre whilst he took the bus up to St James. I had a wander round the big TKMaxx and then down to the indoor and outdoor markets. It was my lucky day, the stall selling seconds and discontinued lingerie items had some real bargains! I got a full length cosy M & S dressing gown for £6 and three BHS bras for, wait for it, £1 each!! Well pleased with my bargains! By then Mr TA was back down from the hospital so time to go home. I love a good rummage round the bargain stalls but sadly he doesn't!
Have a good what's left of the evening folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
