Contractum Debt Collection??

Hello. I sold my lorry on ebay last year and the new owner drove it back to Ireland and drove on the M50 without paying any toll fees. The lorry was still in my name as i was just posting the new owner details to the DVLA. I received 2 fines from EURO PARKING COLLECTION which i contested but they kept telling me that the lorry was in my name on the date of the offence. I now have 2 letters from CONTRACTUM INTERNATIONAL DEBT COLLECTION insisting i pay these fines...After looking online im getting the feeling that this company may be a scam company?? Does anyone have any info about this? Any previous experience with either EURO PARKING COLLECTION or CONTRACTUM INTERNATIONAL DEBT COLLECTION?
Any info would be greatly appreciated as id rather not have to pay these fines or have debt collectors knocking on my door
Thank you...Jason

Hello
I posted the new owner details but i think that possibly they were lost in the post or something as i had to contact DVLA to make sure they had received the new details but they hadnt. DVLA sent me a letter to say that i had changed the owner details on the date of sale which i emailed to the EURO PARKING COLLECTION but they say that i was still the registered keeper. Ive been reading posts on the internet suggesting that EPC and CONTRACTUM are a scam company? Should i be taking these debt collection letters seriously?0 -

Confusing ?
the DVLA did not receive the change and then the DVLA say you did change the details ?0 -
Debt collectors won't knock on your door.
Did you return the paperwork for the original penalty notice naming the driver?0 -
Yes...i told the DVLA the circumstances and advised them of the date of my sale so they sent me a letter saying that yes i had changed ownership on that day.0

Its not about ownership, its about the driver, and the DVLA didn't send you the penalty did they?
The authority that issued the penalty should have been informed who the driver was as I see it.0 -

Would i be right in saying that EPC and CONTRACTUM are that same company?0

All the advice I have seen is to ignore these "fines" from abroad.0

on the KADOE listings EURO PARKING COLLECTION are a fee paying company , NOT a goverment body or department , in fact they are so "what the %^&k " they are listed as OTHER
as you can see the main customer for CONTRACTUM is euro parking collection , http://www.contractum.eu/
possably because they are the same company with the same owners

this company have signed contacts with most of the PPCs , in order to chase forign drivers whilst in the UK0
