Personally have always been with Sky. Is the difference as big as you think? Sky says believe in better, but are they?

I've just switched from Sky to Virgin. I'm not sure which is best to be honest, they both have their advantages and disadvantages.
I'd say sky's customer service is better as is their HD on demand content. I liked the look of their new Sky Q box but the costs to upgrade were too much for me.
On the other hand Virgin's new TV6 box is excellent and their broadband can't be beaten - they're cheaper too.
I think the only thing I'll miss from Sky is Sky Atlantic.0 -
Why on earth do you think Sky's customer service is "better"? I think all the providers are pretty much the same in this regard.
Do we really need another Sky versus Virgin thread? People should be able to make informed choices about which to choose by comparing the services offered via the respective websites.
The recommendations on a forum such as this are entirely subjective and often coloured by negative experiences unique to the poster.0 -
Is there any need to be quite so rude?0

Every time I had occasion to call Sky I got through to a UK call center who sorted my problem out first time.
In the short time I've been with Virgin I've had to speak to people in a non UK call center who struggled to understand my issue.0 -
Sky q box is nice BUT the multi room fluid viewing via tablet is rubbish and keeps on crashing and very often does not connect at all so if you need proper multi room I would avoid sky unless you have an old HD plus box.
You might be better with now TV and buying a humax PVR. It would ups certainly not be cheaper.0
