    Hello everyone
Had to abandon my challenge early this month but have been popping in to see how you are all doing.
Back home tomorrow to a potentially difficult situation. The day before my brother's funeral C's brother had a serious heart attack which has caused irreparable damage. However, he's being very selfish (nothing new there), refusing to take medical advice and arguing with the doctors and nurses. C is very worried and it's beginning to make him ill. Personally I think we've had enough to deal with over the last 15 months without someone behaving like this. Any advice on how to cope, Turtles. I should mention that apart from C he only has one other brother and absolutely no friends or relatives.
Anyway, just wanted to say well done to everyone who achieved their goals and to those who didn't quite manage it tomorrow is a new month. Hugs to everyone who needs them and hope all you sick Turtles feel better soon.
Mothernerd - Thanks for all the inspiration.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Aww Toni poor you. Perhaps he may just come to his senses when the initial shock of heart attack is over and listen to medical advice. Hope so for your sake some people are sometime just frightened by illness. Give him a good talking to - only joking ! If he is given all the facts he may decide that he needs people in his life to help. Look after yourselves first.

Last day of challenge and as usual I spent oops. Sort of lost count of SFD's but hey ho I did make double figures.

Mothernerd thanks for all your hard work this month I have enjoyed reading the daily challenges and some I have taken on.

Toni'sfriend - you guys have been through so much recently. Sending you hugs
It is hard to know what to suggest, but I would say that you and C need to look after yourselves first. X

    Evening!

    Today I am grateful for:
    • The wonders of rail travel enabling me to get from A to B
    • A beautiful sunny afternoon
    • Good company
Today was an expected spend day, so finishing on 17 NSDs.

So - end of the month and a huge thank you again to Mothernerd for a great challenge and your kind words of inspiration... and of course to everybody else who makes these challenges work!

    Goal Review:

    1) Becoming Debt Free

Aim to clear by the end of September = £225/month to be paid as a minimum. However - I have joined a 100 day challenge - where I will aim to clear it ALL by 31st May!!!

£1575 remaining on 0% interest cards. Realising one of my savings accounts matures in April I am debating whether to just clear them all and then free up funds to re-top up savings. So hopefully debt free again next month!!!

    2) Exercise/Be healthy

I will aim for 1 x Nature Walk/week, 2 x gym sessions/week PLUS an additional 2 sessions [extra gym or walk, or home-based step up activity].

Epically failed mid-month but did extra last week. In total I achieved 10 sessions/ 15 planned (25 if I go on 5 per wk)... Lost my mojo - but have felt better for a week off and getting back out for walks.

    3) Mindfulness.

I will do 10 minutes of Mindfulness every day. Alongside this (and tying in with this Month's challenge) I will read at least 1 book on health/well-being

Again - I have fallen short and lost my momentum. Is mindfulness 7/days a week too much? I think it's poor time management, brought on by late nights, brought on by not wanting to go to bed/avoidance of the next day - perpetuated by low mood. Half way through my book on well-being. Will incorporate a mood diary into next month's goals to learn about and tame my 'black dog'

    4) Mortgage

I will keep saving £200/month in my Help To Buy ISA. I am also saving up a 3 month EF [Target £4500.00] at £250/month.

Check - Also had £83.65 interest added for this first year! Result.

    5) Overcoming anxiety

I am allowed £30/Month which I MUST spend on a social outing with other people, or I lose it. I am going to add to this month... go on 1 date!

This has worked well - met a friend for lunch and a catch up. I have booked a date (!) but it isn't happening until Sunday so will give myself 1/2 a point haha!!!
    :T

All in all - not a bad effort! Well done me!!! :) Yes there are things I could have done better - but I did what I could with what I had at the time... and made some progress - even if it wasn't as much as I planned for. Some is better than none. I'm staying positive...

    See you all tomorrow!!! ;)

For this last day in March, I am grateful for sorting out my library book, for bumping into an old friend, for time with dh, for doing a tough bodyrock workout, for the tulips making a valiant effort to bloom, for dd finishing term, for dd playing out the back, for arrangements for Easter/mum/big sis coming together, for booking a counselling session (one mahoosive frog swallowed there!), for light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you mothernerd and all the turtles for march.

My summary is 16 NSDs, 16 headspace sessions, 14 exercise sessions and 388,628 steps which averages just over 12,500 per day.

    See you over in April.

Well I thought I had done well this month but alas I have not achieved all my goals - I think the problem is that I set my goals and then don't look at them again until the end of the month.

From now on I will print out my goals and blu tac them to the wall above my computer and that way I will check them every day.

Thanks again mothernerd for a fab and interesting challenge - see you all in April!!
