Payment card refund

Hi, I hope someone can help me...

I've recently received a payment card from South East Water to pay off some debt I owe. I'm on a court order to pay £51.00 a month.

I have really stupidly just gone to pay £130.00 on my rent payment card and mixed my cards up (both blue) and instead of paying £130 to my rent paid £130 to South East Water.

I am so stupid

Does anyone know if South East Water will refund this money to me? I can't call them until Monday.

Does anyone know if South East Water will refund this money to me? I can't call them until Monday.

All you can do is call them on Monday, explain the situation and ask the nicely if, in the circumstances, they would refund the 'overpayment'.

They would not be obliged to (assuming you owe them more than £130), but they may do so especially if you have a recent history of paying what they expect.
