And where on earth did i say YOU had a chip on your shoulder?
Read it again.
I said some people had. I didnt say YOU. You really struggle with what you believe people type compared to what they actually type dont you?
Mind you, whats the old saying - "if you throw a stone in to a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is the one that was hit"? :rotfl:
Well indeed, and if you read what I wrote you’ll see I wasn’t referring to myself. Simply the possibility that I could, like a million others, have a fancy car if that’s what my priority was. It’s not as if he built it himself, which I have to say would “impress me much”, and might even justify envy of his prodigious talent. Although probably not.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -
All WHOLLY irrelevant and a distraction tactic from the question at hand.
You led with "BMW driver cant afford £190 to fix car" which is what i asked you to substantiate but that all seems to have been in your mind because there is wholly no evidence of it?
Just calling you out on the nonsense you were trying to propagate as FACT.
:T

And again - you're distracting away from the point in hand.
You said the guy couldnt afford to get his BMW fixed and he was over financed and over stretched.
Are you accepting there is no evidence at all of that?0 -

You have wholly no evidence of that. THATS my point.
You're ASSUMING, based on your own prejudiced views.
If someone damaged something of mine, i'd expect them to offer to fix it. Thats the underlying principal in play here.
As i said, personally, i have no expectation of people these days taking ownership for their / their childrens actions so i'd have paid it myself. The O/P feels differently. That doesnt mean he cant afford it.0 -

Clearly not. And you're trying to distract away from the point in hand. Again
Are you going to admit you'd no evidence to believe the O/P couldnt afford it, you just made it up to suit your own prejudices on BMW drivers?0 -

There was a nonsensical discussion about financing car purchase, none of which he countered. You seem to feel a need to defend his behaviour and attitude. Then you’re on to a cliched “young people these days”. I don’t give a hoot about what somebody chooses to waste their money on as long as they don’t drive into me or someone else. So, no.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

So a huge assumption by you based on no facts whatsoever that you've now chosen to quote as "BMW driver couldnt afford £190 to fix his car"?
Brilliant. You couldnt make it up. :rotfl:0 -

I'm not defending his attitude - you're trying to distract again, i questioned your "BMW driver cant afford £190 to fix car" statement and it turns out it was nonsense based on your own prejudices and assumptions.
Quite sad in many ways.0 -

No. A deduction based on observations. And that is sad?
Tell you what - pm him and ask for his thoughts on the matter. Or you could forward all this verbiage to the other thread and see if he responds.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0
