Bear in mind you'll be charged tax based on the price of the goods + the shipping costs.
Also, if anything goes wrong on with it, you'll be pretty much reliant on goodwill given you wont be the purchaser and even if you were, the retailer is in the US and therefore not subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.You keep using that word.
