Hi all,
I have read the sticky and would just like to check that I am about to send the correct reply letter.
The charge notice was posted out, nothing left on the windscreen.
The company is Athena ANPR Ltd, Ascot.
The charge is £90 for allegedly entering Lidl car park and leaving 3 hours later.
I believe the correct template to be this one
Re PCN number:
I am the keeper of the vehicle and am aware of your purported 'parking charge'. The driver will not be identified. I require the following information so that I can make an informed decision:
1. Who is the party that contracted with your company?
2. Is your charge based on dam..........
Just looking for assurances that this is the correct reply please?
Thank you

IPC member so not the one in blue (but from the NEWBIES sticky thread)
assume they wont cancel, you are then in IGNORE mode unless they issue an LBC or an MCOL within 6 years
so in parallel complain to the retailer and insist on a cancellation0 -
Check date of incident and date on NtK and let us know.0

Hi,

So by not the one in blue , do you mean this one pasted below?
Thanks
I am the keeper of the vehicle and am aware of your purported 'parking charge'. The driver will not be identified. I require the following information so that I can make an informed decision:
1. Who is the party that contracted with your company?
2. Is your charge based on damages for breach of contract? Answer yes or no.
3. Please provide photos of the signs that you say were on site and which you contend formed a contract with the driver.
4. Please provide all photographs taken of this vehicle.
5. Please provide proof that the timing of any camera used was synchronised with all other cameras and/or systems & machines.
Do not send debt collector letters and do not add any costs which would be a thinly-veiled attempt at 'double recovery'. I will not respond to debt collectors and to involve a third party would be a failure to mitigate your costs as well as deliberate and knowing misuse of my data.
Should you obtain the registered keeper's data from the DVLA without reasonable cause (e.g. if you do not fully comply with the IPC Code of Practice in terms of signage at this site, for example) please take this as formal notice that I reserve the right to sue your company and the landowner/principal, for a sum not less than £250 for any Data Protection Act breach.
For the avoidance of doubt, I do not give you consent to process data relating to me or this vehicle, whether you have already obtained it or not. I deny liability for any sum at all and you must consider this letter a Section 10 Notice under the DPA. You are required to respond within 21 days.
Yours faithfully,On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
well that is the only other one , so not much choice of the ones in black is there ?
do as I said earlier and appeal it with that template , expect a refusal, then its the 6 years of IGNORE unless they try a court case scenario, hence why you try for a landowner cancellation as well0 -

Yours faithfully,
Yes, then NO FURTHER STEPS, no IAS (considered to be a kangaroo court). Ignore anything except court papers, same as everyone else with an iPC 'PCN'. No more discussion needed, it is that simple.
Always complain to the Head office or CEO though, if it's a Supermarket. The Lidl CEO normally cancels for shopper complainants.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you, I will also write to them.On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0

I wrote to Lidl and they replied today stating that I should use the appeals process that the parking company have.
Is there any point in escalating my complaint to Lidl, perhaps stating that it was a Lidl customer on Lidl land that the parking charge was issued to, so don't pass the buck.
I could also add that logic suggests that if the parking charge is unfair its also probable that the appeals process is, also stating that I have already appealed to them.
Thanks for any thoughts on this.
Just to add with my complaint I didn't go straight to CEO, just customer services. On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
I wrote to Lidl
Hmmm...you didn't email the CEO like we said? That's the advice, not a customer service agent at Lidl. You played it wrong, do as advised.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Go straight to the top - organ grinders and monkeys parallel. 'Don't want to get involved','Wasn't me'-itis reigns otherwise.
Scan in proof of shopping[receipt or bank statement], accentuate 'frequent/substantial shopper' lline, with further proofs if you have them.
Loathe it though I do, a reminder of Daily Boil articles and campaiginig interest will not go amiss. Plenty of google fuel here:
